Uluru Sunset, captured after 4 attempts to get a good sunset!

After a gravel road to enter Byfield National Park, and then a short walk from the park, we wandered up the river to encounter this beautiful site known as Upper Stoney Creek. With deadly Stonefish living in the river, it's not the best place to swim, however its beauty shines through here as the green leaves highlight the massive paperbarks flowing over the river.

This image was taken at Vesteys Beach, in Darwin, NT.
I scouted this location on numerous occasions, waiting for the tide to be in the right spot while there was a chance for a beautiful sunset to occur.
Luckily Sunday night was the night. I made the short walk out onto the exposed rock shelf as the tide was quite low this evening. The sunset appeared promising with significant cloud cover, however you can never ever tell what will happen. Some nights the sun will just quietly slip into nothing behind a cloud bank, and some nights it will light up the sky with its atmospheric fire.
This night was such a one, with the sunset transitioning from dark foreboding clouds hiding a fiery red ball, into this, 15 minutes after actual sun set.
I took all of my panorama gear with me, and used it to good effect here, for this 9 image stitched panorama, just as the light got really special, reflecting off the rocks in a beautiful light orange glow.
This is a 9 image stitched panorama image, over 324 Megapixel, 4.2 gb in size and able to be printed up to over 10 metres wide.

A close up at sunset shows the impressive Wangi Falls, in Litchfield National Park at their best.
The light caresses the red rocks, leaving the cold blue of the water in it's shadow.
A small tree hangs onto the edges of the falls, never suffering a lack of water, only a lack of soil.

One of the intense slot canyons of Weano Gorge. After swimming through Icy water after Handrail Pool, this amazing formation sits, before turning the corner to a whole new vista.

What a way to end our day along the Bloomfield Track. This is one of the most impressive waterfalls in the Cooktown Region, Cape York, QLD. Just a short rock hopping walk leads you to this huge waterfall, but you cannot swim here, one word, Crocodiles!

This creek in the beautiful Mossman Gorge near Port Douglas is the absolute embodiment of beauty in nature.
We recently went to this location during the wet season, and this creek is a solid 3km walk through the rainforest to get to. By the time we reached it, I took about 3 photo's then couldn't stand it any more, stripped off and went for a swim! The water was seriously chilly and extremely refreshing.
This is one of my favourite locations from recent shoots.
